It probably all started with my Radio Shack 100-in-1 Project Kit. Or perhaps my award winning Pinewood Derby cars from Cub Scouts. Or the 8th grade science fair? One way or another, it’s plain to see that my obsession with constructing kooky devices was a real hit with the cool kids.
So I went to James Madison University for a number of years and studied psychology, social work, and inevitably, sculpture.
Finally, I possessed the skills to build the wacky inventions of my dreams. I started off with the Smell Machine, which would dispense one of nine smell combinations at the push of a button. Then there was the Story Machine, the Wrd-107, and the Food Replacement Artificial Heart, all intended to make our lives easier. And the Electro-Deanxietizing Machine was guaranteed to cure you of all ailments, or your money back.
After I graduated, I couldn’t find anything in the classifieds for sculptors, and it was really hard to find an affordable Home Foundry. I couldn’t give it up, of course; it was in my blood. Now I build smaller-scale, functional noise-making devices. My flagship device, the TurnTape, has recently been upgraded to 2.1. Also under development: the Percussion Pal, and the Ampli-Modu-Maestro.
